GEMINI 8                           MANNED FLIGHT                               USA

Gemini 8 performed the first docking of two spacecraft  together with Agena target vehicle (GATV-8). Docking was followed by a major space emergency, because of problems with the spacecrafts control system. By using the reentry control system, the crew regained control of their craft. Consumtion of 75% of that system´s fuel forced an unplanned early landing.
