S1-Truss  Integrated Truss Structure

ATLANTIS delivers the first starboard truss segment, the S1 Truss, to be attached to the Central truss segment, the S0 Truss. Additional cooling radiators are delivered but will remain stowed until flight 12A ,a backup S-band communications capability and the so called CETA cart , that can be used by space walkers to move along truss with equipment.

The Astronauts had to perform 3 spacewalks for installing the new components .
